(AP) - TOKYO - Japanese stocks fell sharply Tuesday, dragged by a stronger yen and weakness in markets throughout Asia. The benchmark Nikkei 225 stock average fell 187.41 points, or 1.8 percent to 10,325.28, marking a five-week closing low. The broader Topix index shed 2 percent to 916.40. Early gains in Tokyo faded in the afternoon as the dollar fell under the 90-yen level. Overall sentiment in Asia sputtered amid worries about slower growth in South Korea and China's lending curbs.
